This stage is slightly different depending on if you did 6-2 first or not. Any lines that play if you did this one first will be in quotes.

SECRET ALERT
Psycho Gundam
Do this stage anytime after 6-2.

Last time, the Gundor Team cleared out the north part of Jaburo from Zeon and aristocrats.

Image
Next down the list is the west side of Jaburo.

Image
Titans MS teams are attacking from Jaburo's western side. What havoc are the ghosts from the last conflict going to wreak?

Image
Chapter 31 (6-4): Ghosts of Gryps

Image
Image There are this many forces on the western side?!
Image Where'd they even come from?
Image A lot of them must've slipped through and dropped here during the chaos of the colony drop.
Image Yeah, but considering how many there are, they must've prepared for this in advance.
Image You think this was orchestrated?
Image I think it's less orchestrated and more that this was the backup plan behind the colony drop.
Image Haman Karn's probably behind this.
Image There's the Gundor.
Image This is a separate troop from the previous Titans.
Image How can they still have so many MS?
Image The ghosts of the Titans...
Image What's up with Zeon usin' so many Feddie robots?
Image Come to think of it, I recall fighting these several times.
Image During the Gryps Conflict, Scirocco was in league with Haman. I heard there were secret transfers of tech and machines back then.
Image So even after the Titans are gone, their cursed legacy is still sitting in Zeon's clutches...
Image Norris, is that true?
Image It's just as you see, Lady Aina. That goes for the pilots as well.
Image What do you mean, the pilots?
Image They have Titans pilots?!
Image ...
Image Who cares about the past? The only problem we're facing is the enemy right in front of us!
Image I get what you're saying, but...
Image We can debate matters later. All units, advance!

Image
Deploy the troops! There are 13 slots. I'm using Hyoma, Tod, Amuro, Ryoma, Koji, Jack, Roll, Kyosuke, Norris, Rennie, Kamille, Domon, and Shiro.

Image
There are a bunch of enemy MSes to the southwest. It's a whole bunch of Hambrabis, Baund Docs, and Gaplants. If you did this stage before 6-2, Yazan will be here as a starting boss in his own Hambrabi. Fan out and start taking them down.

Enemy reinforcements spawn at the start of the third enemy phase.

Image
Image There! Yeah, there you are, Kamille Bidan!
(Jerid Messa. Z Gundam. CV: Kazuhiko Inoue)
Image Took ya long enough, Jerid!
Image Huh? Jerid? Jerid Messa?!
Image This time I'm killing you for good, Kamille!
Image Now we've got a dude with a chip on his shoulder coming outta nowhere. You know this guy, Kamille?
Image Hm? Is there some connection between him and Kamille?
Image I know that mobile suit. Is that one of Scirocco's models?!
Image Kamille, wasn't he part of the Titans?
Image Yes, that's Jerid Messa. He was with the Titans, and he joined up with Scirocco.
Image I'm stuck in a permanent rut I won't get out of except by killing you. You're a wall to me now!
Image You're just spouting nonsense! You only ever see things in terms of war, winning, and losing.
Image Damn right. That's why I've cast aside everything to be here!
Image You're not even ashamed to be in that MS?!
Image Calm down, Kamille! That war is over now.
Image Kamille, don't let your emotions get the best of you. Otherwise you'll get tunnel vision.
Image Maybe this is how Irbora felt, Joe.
Image ...
Image You need to die now, Kamille Bidan!
Image Jerid!

Before I get into the boss, additional reinforcements when there's less than eight enemies remaining and you cleared 6-2 first.

Image
Image Hm? Reinforcements?
Image How'd they get this many planetside?!
Image Wait, that's...
Image Aha. The east side's collapsed, so they sent it over here. Heh, today's my lucky day.
Image What is that? It's some kinda Gundam?
Image Is that your only observation, Benkei? It's ridiculously out of scale for that.
Image It's about twice as big as a Gundam type. Kamille! Is that a Gundam?
Image It's the Psycho Gundam. A Titans Newtype model!
Image The Devil Gundam's giving us enough problems with oversized models already!
Image They're callin' it big, but Combattler's still bigger!
Image And we've got five pilots. Heh, this thing's got nothin' on us!
Image The heck? You can't expect to do better just by crammin' extra people in!
Image We've got four people in Dangaioh too, though.
Image We're both bad about that, huh.
Image Yes...
Image This here's a restoration of a model destroyed in the last conflict.
Image You should remember it pretty damn well, huh, Kamille?
Image Jerid, you piece of...!

ImageImage
Our next boss is Jerid in a The O. This isn't the first time he's been in this, as he was in one at the end of SRW F Final. The O is a very strong MS, which is further strengthened by the fact that it spawns on top of a tent, giving it HP/EN regen and increased defenses. The Psycho Gundam is also here, accompanied by two Gundam Mk-IIs. They're all piloted by mooks, so it's not much to worry about.

SECRET ALERT
Psycho Gundam
Defeat the Psycho Gundam with Kamille

That shouldn't be too hard to set up, especially if you put Kamille in a Re-GZ or G-3 Gundam.

SKILL POINT: Defeat Jerid (Retreats at 30% HP)

Jerid drops a Psycho-frame, so I opted to let him go.

Image
Image Aaagh! Why? Why can't I win?! Kamille! Don't forget, you're dead meat!
[Jerid retreats]
Image Ah! He ran away! Show, we gotta chase him!
Image No, the area around Jaburo is crawling with hostiles. We can't risk pursuit.
Image Besides, that machine was ready to blow at any moment. Not sure running's gonna help much with that.
Image Besides, with that damage, I doubt he'll make it far. In fact, if he isn't careful, he might not last long at all…
Image That's true. And we don't have the forces to spare on pursuing fleeing enemies.
Image Jerid...!
Image I wish we could've crushed him completely.
Image Yeah, you know how obsessive that type gets.
Image Kamille, this is a battlefield.
Image I know, Amuro. But still...
Image Poor Kamille...
Image Bernie... We have it pretty good, don't we?
Image Huh? Oh... Yeah.
Image Jerid... Why is he so desperate to kill me that he signed on with Zeon?
Image Bidan, I suspect he may be engulfed in an aura of hatred.
Image ...

If Yazan is on the map and you kill him…

Image What the hell? This can't happen to me!

Of course, I destroy the Psycho Gundam with Kamille to get the secret.

Image
Image ...Goodbye, Four.
Image ...
Image A clean hit to just the generator? That was a gentle way to break it, Kamille.
Image Breaking... Killing... There is no "gentleness" when it comes to those things, Amuro.
Image

I'll go over the Psycho Gundam on the next stage.

The map ends when all enemies are defeated.

Image
Image That should be all the hostiles in this area. That took longer than I'd hoped, though.
Image This was all right after the colony drop attempt...
Image Fielding forces in anticipation of Stardust failing... Sounds like they still have some cards up their sleeve.
Image I was hoping things planetside had calmed down, but now we're getting this onslaught from Zeon.
Image Well, we can't let Haman take Jaburo HQ.
Image Agreed. That's the reason we're here.

I cleared the map on Turn 5. I gave Concentration to Pai.

Last time, we cleared out the west part of Jaburo. One more before we can go underground.

Image
Our next location is the south side of Jaburo.

Image
On Jaburo's southern side, there are machines gathering from supposedly fallen forces like the Hyakki Empire and Mycenae Empire. Why is this happening?

Image
Chapter 32 (6-5): The Guider and the Guided

Image
Image

Image
Image We're here! Man, there really are hostiles on all sides. Talk about a pain in the... Huh?
Image Wait, what? How?!
Image So this is the problem area. ...Heh, I see now.
Image Tetsuya, what's with the knowing look? Wait, what?!
Image Looks like there wasn't some mixup in the ID codes.
Image ...
Image There really are Hyakki robots here!
Image Does that mean the Hyakki Empire ain't gone yet?
Image Impossible. We finished them off for good back there.
Image This ain't makin' a lick o' sense!
Image This ain't the time for panickin', Jack!
Image We'll just have to see for ourselves. Let's do this, Hayato! Benkei!
Image Change Dragon, switch on!

Image
Image ...
Image Look, everyone! Are those... aerial tanks?!
Image Sure are.
Image Wouldn't that mean Gil's nearby?!
Image We can't be sure. But... we should launch.
Image Let's do this, everyone!
Image Cross fight! DANGAIOOOH!

Image
Image ...
Image Hyoma! I see Campbellian Magma Beasts, too!
Image What the heck? I thought we beat the Campbellians' boss!
Image Kosuke, you got anything for us?
Image I don't. All I can say is that's definitely the Magma Beast Demon! It's not some other robot with an altered exterior!
Image Let's quit pussyfootin' around and go see for ourselves, Hyoma!
Image All right, time to launch.
Image Let's Combine!

Image
Image Um, everybody seems to be launching unprompted...
Image I won't fault them for it. This is a serious problem, and we'd need forces out there to deal with it regardless. Besides...
Image I'm seeing some other things mixed in with them. Are those Einst? ...Hm?!
Image A heat source underground?!

Image
Image ...
Image Are those from the Devil Gundam?!
Image What are they doing here?!
Image Domon, we'd better get out there.
Image Come out, Gundam!
[Snap]

Image
Image With this many different factions, the one leading them would be...
Image Inter... lopers...
Image I knew it. They can talk!
Image Something wrong, Nambu?
Image Didn't you hear that, Lieutenant Amuro?
Image Hm? Hear what?
Image ...Nothing, never mind. I'll just have to head out.

Image
Image Ah! Kyosuke!
Image What's the matter with him? Chum, do you sense anything about those enemies?
Image Yeah. It's like... an aura of malice? No... I'm not sure. I'm not sure at all.
Image We'd better head out as well. This isn't our first encounter with those things, but there's too much we don't know about them. Besides...
Image If that red mech... If Alchemie shows up, we might learn something.
Image All right. All units, launch! Don't hesitate. Focus on destroying the hostiles!

Image
Deploy the troops! There are 9 slots, since Kyosuke, Domon, the Battle Team, and the Getter Team are mandatory. I'm using Norris, Jack, Amuro, Koji, Tod, Joe, Kamille, Rennie, and Allenby.

First, let's talk about the secret unit we got in the last stage.

ImageImage
[MRX-009 Psycho Gundam (MS and MA forms)]
It's a Mobile Suit with the size and bulk of a Super Robot. The Psycho Gundam is pretty defensive with its shield and I Field, but all of its attacks have the beam attribute, it only has 4 movement in its MS form (6 in its flying MA form), and its attacks quickly drain its limited EN supply. The best way to use the Psycho Gundam is as a long-ranged support attacker, since its best attack has a range of 3-7. Just make sure you max out its EN first.

This map has multiple groups of four enemies; three mooks from a different faction led by an Einst (excluding the Death Army). Fan out and start taking them down. They're all enemies we've encountered before.

Enemy reinforcements spawn during the next enemy phase when there are at most 8 enemies remaining.

Image
[Four more groups of 4 spawn]
Image What the heck? There's more of them?!
Image Ah! Bro! Look there!
Image ...
Image Those are Bunks!
Image The heck? We're getting robots from every group under the sun!
Image ...
Image Ah! Those are Gaizock units!
Image Mm. Now that you mention it, they came out as escorts for that warship that resembled an ancient clay doll.
Image Mechaboosts!
Image How do you recognize them?
Image That Butcher asshole started shit with us constantly while we were in space.
Image I wonder if Kappei and his friends won their fight...
Image ...
Image Mister! Look at that!
Image That's the, uh... Madanga, right? What the hell? Now I'm questioning if the Yoma Empire's really gone!
Image And Akira's in space...
Image Well, let's pull the disguises off these monsters and see what the deal is!

Don't worry, help arrives during the next enemy phase.

Image
Super Robot Wars Impact - Flying Shadow Spotted!

Image
Image ...
Image Tobikage!
Image Now we've got this thing showing up too? Guess we've got armies of hostiles AND friendlies.
Image Koji, does something seem strange about Tobikage to you?
Image It shows up whenever we're in danger, almost like it's watching us... Hm?
Image ...
Image Uh, guys? Tobikage's not moving.
Image ...
Image Aha, I have it! That mystery enemy is emitting some form of soundwave beyond our ability to hear!
Image I get it. The one thing these hostiles have in common is that they're all AI-controlled robots with no cockpits. That enemy's capable of controlling them?
Image If Tobikage's reacting too, does that mean Tobikage runs on AI?
Image If it did... Oh no, we'd have to fight it.
Image You expect us to go up against that ridiculously dodgy machine?
Image Tobikage! Hey, you asshole! Stay out of our business!
Image You sure changed your tune fast, Joe.
Image ...

So Tobikage won't move for a bit, but he will combine at the start of the next player phase, provided you fulfill the other requirements. At least he's not stealing any kills…

Image
Image ...
Image This signal... It's combining!

For me, Tobikage combined with Joe to form Jyuma.

Image It wasn't being controlled after all!
Image That's our Tobikage!
Image Once again, on a dime...

More enemies spawn during the next enemy phase when there are at most 8 enemies remaining. This could very well happen right after Tobikage shows up, too.

Image
Super Robot Wars Impact - Alchemist With a Wavering Heart
Image More reinforcements?!
Image ...
Image Are those Alteisens?!
Image Is that why people were sayin' the Alteisen showed up in space?!
Image ...
Image Makes sense. I see the resemblance, but they're still just fakes.
Image No... They aren't fakes. They're more... different.
Image What?!
Image It's nice to see you again, Kyosuke.
Image It's you!
Image Hey, that's the robot that showed up in Byston Well!
Image Is it about to open the Aura Road again?
Image My business in Byston Well... is finished. Our goal is something else...
Image ("Our"?)
Image What do you mean?
Image Kyosuke... Excellen... You should come with me.
Image Me and Excellen? You want her to come along with you? Where?!
Image A new... universe... To cast away the Land of Beginnings...
Image I have no idea what you're talking about. Do you actually believe I'll do what you want me to do?
Image Yes... You will.

Image
Image What the?! Hrgh! My head...!
Image What's wrong, Nambu?!
Image That red machine's emitting some form of powerful psychowave!
Image Wait, is she trying to control Nambu like they're controlling the AIs?! That's absurd!
Image Kyosuke... Why do you...?
Image I told you... I'm not doing... what you want me to do!
Image Why? Your body... is our...
Image (She's still talking nonsense.)
Image Are you okay, Kyosuke?!
Image Yeah...
Image Didn't Excellen deal with that red machine too?!
Image I don't know what's goin' on here, but let's just trash that red robot!
Image All units, focus on the red machine.
Image Kyo...suke... Why? My... feelings for you are...

Image
Alchemie is back! If you didn't have someone standing on the tent like I (accidentally) had Domon do, you'd have to deal with additional HP/EN regen. Otherwise, she's exactly the same as the previous times we've fought her.

SKILL POINT: Defeat Alchemie (Retreats at 30% HP)

Alchemie drops a Solar Sail (gives 10% EN regen per turn), which is extremely handy, so I opted to defeat her.

Image
I also want to point out the Einsteisen. They're pretty much an Einst-ified Alteisen, with a badass design to match. They also behave the same as the Alt (excluding a Trump Card-type attack), so watch out for their beam coats and extremely powerful close-ranged attacks.

There's a quick scene for Kyosuke vs Alchemie.

Image For me... to be myself... Alchemie... needs you, Kyosuke...
Image To be yourself? What does that even mean? What are you?!
Image ...
Image (What is this girl trying to tell me?!)

I beat her with a Psychic Slash supported by a Grandasher.

Image
Image This is goodbye... Kyosuke.
Image Wait! I still have questions for you!
Image Too bad... so sad. Excellen... will have to...
Image What? What did you just say?!
[Alchemie leaves]
Image (Dammit, I don't understand! I can't make sense of what she or the Einst are after. Excellen, be careful out there.)

Image
Got the Skill Point. That's 16 out of 32.

The map ends when all enemies are defeated.

Image
Image It's over. But...
Image It's hard to make sense of why the Einst are targeting Nambu, huh.
Image She's apparently shown up a few times around Excellen, too.
Image Any idea why that might be?
Image No, none. She said she needed me and Excellen, but that's all I know.
Image Maybe you're her type?
Image You are a pretty handsome guy, Kyosuke.
Image Hold on, Lamba. How would that explain Excellen?
Image ...
Image (Me and Excellen... Does she have some connection to that accident, too?)

I cleared the stage on turn 5. I gave Concentration to Lamba.

There are additional scenes after you clear out all four choices. Those scenes will be in their own post.

Image
Image We've wiped out all the enemies in the surrounding areas. Now we can finally push into Jaburo's interior.
Image I hope the push doesn't come with any new curveballs...
Image Yeah. Last time we were "finally" there, the Aura Road opened on us.
Image I'd like to go back to Byston Well, but... I guess we can't, huh.
Image Still, those Einst... Their actions don't seem coherent.
Image Yeah. Their goal's still completely cryptic.
Image They've been targeting Kyosuke, but why?
Image Any thoughts there?
Image I really don't know why she's after me and Excellen.
Image Guess all we know for sure is that they're enemies.
Image That red machine seemed to be leading them.
Image Is that one behind all the other things the Einst have been doing?
Image (No. Since I heard a voice other than Alchemie's, there must be another will involved.)
Image Kasshu, I'd like you to come to the bridge right away. Major Urube is calling.
(Phone)
Image Urube?

Image
Image I have some bad news for you, Domon.
(Phone)
Image Did something happen to Dad?!
Image Dr. Kasshu is perfectly well... but he is still in cold sleep.
Image !!
Image But why? You said once the Devil Gundam was confirmed retrieved, you'd release him!
Image We couldn't retrieve the Devil Gundam.
Image Major Urube, you don't mean...?!
Image Yes, I'm afraid I do. The Devil Gundam wasn't in the Guiana Highlands.
Image That's impossible. I know I destroyed it.
Image We rushed straight there, but it was already gone by the time we arrived.
Image So the Devil Gundam is still at large somewhere on Earth?
Image I couldn't tell you where it is, but I believe so. I'm sorry about this, Domon, but without recovering the Devil Gundam, Dr. Kasshu's release will have to be postponed.
Image Rgh...

Image
Image The time's finally here. We get to finish things planetside for good.
Image Calm down a little, Pai.
Image What's your problem, Roll? Don't ruin the moment.
Image Mind if I ask a question? All of you other than Alice are from other planets, right? Why are you helping us?
Image Well, Mia's one of us. Of course we'd help.
Image Besides, we can't ignore people in trouble.
Image Thanks for that. I know Earth's problems shouldn't generally be anyone else's problem to solve.
Image No kidding. But between Dangaioh here, and Grendizer in space, we're getting help from a lot of different star systems.
Image For sure. What's weird is that Daisuke, Princess Romina, and the whole Dangaioh team look exactly like we do.
Image It's sad. We should be protecting our own planet, and here we are, stuck relying on help from other star systems.
Image Yeah, huh. There's Dangaioh, Grendizer, Maya and his friends' machines... Even Tobikage is a robot from the Shamer System.
Image They're extraterrestrials, but they don't look any different from us. Maybe that's why it doesn't feel too jarring.
Image What if everyone was originally from Earth?
Image You know, it's not impossible.
Image Huh? But you guys don't have psychic powers, do you?
Image Psychic powers? Oh, right. You four are ESPers.
Image None of it's that reliable, though. Roll has to run for his, Lamba runs out of energy immediately, and Mia can barely control hers.
Image And yours is just brute strength. How's that even a psychic power?
Image Listen here, you jerk. If I unleashed my latent abilities...
Image You know, Daisuke's little sister Maria has precognition. That should count as a psychic power.
Image And we've got Newtypes like Lieutenant Amuro and Kamille. Is that psychic power?
Image Come to think of it, Daisuke's little sister Maria has powers of precognition, right?
Image Oh yeah, she does. And the lieutenant and Kamille are Newtypes. Would that count as psychic powers?
Image I really don't think so. The word "Newtype" is just a label given to us by other people.
Image We're just regular people who have slightly good instincts. Me, Kamille, him...
Image This is fascinating. I'd love to hear more about it.
Image We can get into that more later--I'd be interested in discussing it, too. There just isn't much time until we make our push.
Image If you're done with machine maintenance, I suggest relaxing and getting some rest for now.
Image Good idea.

Image
Image Whoa, where are you going, Domon?!
Image I'm gonna search for my master and the Devil Gundam!
Image But didn't you say before that you couldn't just ignore the Gundor Team?
Image That was when I believed I'd destroyed the Devil Gundam and Kyoji. If the Devil Gundam's still around, it's clear what I have to do.
Image Domon...
Image Domon! That's all the more reason to stay with the Gundor Team!
Image Schwarz?!
Image How's that?
Image Kyoji is... The Devil Gundam is here in Jaburo.
Image Wait, what?
Image I've pursued it here. I'm positive of it.
Image You mean...
Image It's right under our noses?
Image If Kyoji's here, that means Master Asia will be too.
Image Yes, he's probably lying in wait.
Image Then I'd better step up work on the God Gundam that Major Urube brought for us.
Image Yeah, go ahead.
Image (But why is it that this Schwarz man strikes such a familiar chord with me...?)

Image
Image We're about to make the push. What's going on inside?
Image We're pushing in because we don't know the answer to that.
Image Yeah, but that's the trouble! When we don't know what the deal is inside, it's dangerous just divin' in headfirst.
Image Man, are you done whining?
Image Joe, you ain't done with your robot maintenance yet.
Image Yeah, so? It's a machine left by aliens. I barely get how it works as it is.
Image Hey, Bro, I'm done with the Burst Dragon. Why are you picking fights with another team?
Image I know it's easy to feel agitated before the big push, but take care of your own business, Joe. Ensign Amada and the rest of the MS pilots were done ages ago.
Image I'm almost done!
Image Combattler's almost ready as well. Ropet, how's it looking on your end?
Image Kosuke. No problems detected. Machine should be good to go.
Image Heck yeah, all done! Now to wait for the launch.
Image See that? You're the only guy not through yet.
Image Tch. Fine, whatever.
Image The Black Lion's an alien robot, right? Can you guys make sense of those?
Image I don't know much about the mechanical side, but for some reason, I know how this exact machine's controlled and maintained.
Image How strange. Perhaps it's actually Earth-made?
Image Come to think of it, I heard the Elshank came to Earth centuries ago in search of ninjas.
Image The Shamer System's 60,000 light years away from our solar system, right? And the robots and MS here were only built in the past few decades. The time frames just don't match up.
Image You're sayin' it wouldn't make sense? I don't see the problem. Maybe the guys who designed the tech just happened to have similar tastes.
Image I question if the matter can be written off so easily...
Image Hyoma, simple. Single-celled organism.
Image You wanna say that again, Ropet?!
Image I never put much thought into it before, but it IS strange. Princess Romina, Chaffe... Even Irbora doesn't look any different from the rest of us.
Image I guess robots aren't the only thing we have in common.
Image The people from the Shamer System all have serious personality issues, though.
Image Y'know, three outta four of the Dangaioh Team's members are from other planets too. But they ain't any different from us.
Image Other than walking around in a battleship dressed like THAT...
Image Yeah, huh...
Image This ship will push into Jaburo's interior 20 minutes from now. All pilots, report to the bridge. I repeat, this ship…
(Phone)
Image Ooh, there's the sec now! Let's get movin', guys!
Image Okay, this is it!
Image Hold on, Joe! You're not finished yet!
Image Oh, the Black Lion will be fine. After all, I'll be the guy controlling it!
Image Rennie, I don't think you're gonna talk any sense into Bro.
Image Oh, for...!

Image
Image Combattler Team, reporting in.
Image That's everyone. All right, listen up--the Gundor is about to push into Jaburo.
Image What's the situation inside?
Image Still out of contact?
Image Are there a bunch of those things inside?
Image That would be so gross!
Image Waaah! I wanna go home! Queen Cielaaa!
Image Getting sent to Byston Well again would be a whole headache.
Image The Einst said they had no more business there, though.
Image Who cares? Let's just mobilize already.
Image We wouldn't want to deal with any interception squads. Let's make this quick, Secretary.
Image We haven't gotten any word from the princess. You think they're okay?
Image Please share questions and remarks one at a time. First, regarding the interior--Minovsky particle signal interference is too strong to get anything on sensors.
Image So it's being jammed. Want me to take Liger in from underground, Secretary?
Image No, we can't divert forces for recon, and we don't have the time.
Image So basically, our only option's the patented Cyber Beast Force special: charging in headlong. Well, I get the reasoning.
Image The last thing we need is to stand around puzzled, then hit a brick wall right before entry. Let's get a move on.
Image Pai... You know, you're cut out for the CBF, yourself.
Image The signal interference is an unusual kind we haven't encountered before--in other words, possibly a type that didn't previously exist. It's very likely those mystery enemies will be present.
Image Or some other brand-new enemy faction.
Image C'mon, Juzo, don't jinx us.
Image That mystery enemy was controlling AI robots on Jaburo's south side, right? Maybe they're already inside Jaburo...
Image That's pretty likely. They could be positioning more AI units even as we speak.
Image We'd have an easy time if they were all Kikaiju.
Image You know it won't be that easy.
Image If only they were all Kikaiju or Dinosaur Empire robots, we'd have an easy time.
Image That's optimistic. If these hostiles have intelligence, they wouldn't deploy that way. They'd make sure to position some mechs capable of long-range attacks.
Image Even Kikaiju are tough. I wouldn't wanna fight those.
Image Onto the topic of matters in space--we've gone out of contact with the Londo Bell.
Image What? Again?!
Image Are they in a battle?
Image I don't know. We got a message from Anaheim that let us know they won a battle on the moon, but they went missing immediately afterward.
Image I haven't been able to reach Master Banjo, either. I can't help but wonder what's happened.
Image What awful timing, considering what we're about to face.
Image Will we change our plans?
Image No. We push through. The Londo Bell succeeded in stopping the colony drop. Now it's our turn to do our part.
Image I'm sure Bright has things under control.
Image Kyosuke, you've gotta be worried about the Londo Bell too, right?
Image Kyosuke, aren't you also worried about the Londo Bell?
Image What?
Image C'mon, I know you make secret calls there every now and then. Talking with your girlfriend?
Image Wow, I never knew Kyosuke was so smooth with the ladies.
Image I've seen the calls you always make whenever you finish up machine maintenance early.
Image Hmph, that's pretty inappropriate.
Image Shush, Tetsuya! Don't complicate things.
Image It wasn't really meant to be some huge secret...
Image Dang. You go around with a constant frown on your face, but you still treat your girl right, huh?
Image Way to sound like you're forty, Joe.
Image That sounds so nice! A man and a woman, living separated on Earth and in space!
Image ...
Image AHEM, that's enough of that. It was a good tension-breaker, though.
Image Heh, fair enough. Are we ready, Secretary?
Image Mm. All personnel, stand by on deck. The Gundor's pushing into Jaburo's interior.
Image All right, let's rock!
Image Show, let's Aura Slash our way from one end of Jaburo to the other!
Image You've been sounding violent lately, Chum.
Image There's no turning back now. Let's do this, Hayato! Benkei!
Image This should be the last major battle on Earth.
Image Hopefully this will help end this war. Right, Shiro?
Image Right. Let's end this battle.
Image But what if there's some big, scary enemy?
Image You're picking now to ruin the moment?! Get your rear in the Dangaioh cockpit already!
Image (Only Excellen and I hear the Einst's voices... But I can't share that. Not yet.)

Next time is the Act 1 finale!

Archived version of this chapter.

Last time, the Gundor Team cleared out Jaburo's surface. It's time to reclaim EFF HQ.

Image
Our final location is inside Jaburo.

Image
The Gundor Team has finally reached inner Jaburo, the Earth Federation Forces' headquarters. The final battle of the Earth Crisis arc is about to begin…

Image
Chapter 33 (6-6): Controller of the Tumultuous Land

Image
Image Took long enough to get here. Heheh, here we are.
Image And Jaburo's been overrun by Einst, just as expected.
Image The whole base is an Einst lair. It's not unexpected, but it's gonna be a hassle dealing with this many of them.
Image But if we win here, we can take back Jaburo.

Image
Image ...
Image Show me what you really are!
Image Domon! The God Gundam's in perfect working order!
Image All right. Come out, Gundam!
[Snap]

Image
Image Whoa. Guess something's lit a fire under him.
Image Let's go join him!
Image All units, launch!

Image
Deploy the troops! There are 15 slots, and Domon is already deployed in his new MS. I'm using Hyoma, Kyosuke, Roll, Norris, Ryoma, Shiro, Koji, Allenby, Fa, Amuro, Jack, Joe, Rennie, Tod, and Show.

Image Where's the Devil Gundam? Where's Master Asia?!
Image The Devil Gundam? It's going to be here?
Image Schwarz just tipped us off that it's here.
Image We've got enough trouble here as it is already...
Image It's okay! We already beat it once. We'll just do it again!
Image Everyone, listen. I'm afraid this is as far as the Gundor can go.
Image Secretary? What are you talking about?
Image You started to mention this before. What's happening?
Image You aren't gettin' cold feet now, are you, Secretary?
Image No. In a short while, the Gundor won't be able to move.
Image Hey, what the heck? I haven't heard anything about this?
Image The dragon's life lasts for 180 and 3 days. That's the Gundor's Achilles' heel--its nuclear fusion reactor power source has reached its limit.
Image Secretary... You haven't said a word of this before.
Image After this battle, I'm sending you all to space. I'll barely be able to afford that. If this is our last battle, good. But there are still lots of enemies in space.
Image Man. I can't tell if this planet's tech level is high or low.
Image When we fought Emperor Brai and stormed the science fortress island, that came with a price that's coming due now.
Image What's the big deal? We just have to guard you and the Gundor and destroy these enemies, right?
Image You make that sound a whole lot simpler than it is, kiddo!
Image But it's what we have to do anyway.
Image It's true. Juzo, we'll have to push here!
Image All right! Let's clean these guys up before the real problem customer shows up!
Image Sounds like we don't have time to drag our feet. Let's clean these things up, fast!
Image ...

First up, a new unit, right at the end.

ImageImage
[GF13-017NJII God Gundam (Normal and Hyper Mode)]
One of the best units in the game. At the start, the God Gundam is an okay close-ranged fighter, but its true power gets unlocked once Domon hits 130 morale and activates Meikyo-Shisui and turns on Hyper Mode. Not only does achieving Hyper Mode increase God Gundam's stats and gives it S ranks in most terrains, but it unlocks his most powerful attacks, such as God Finger and Sekiha Tenkyoken. God Gundam also gets a MAP attack, Choukyuu Haou Den'eidan. And if that wasn't enough, God Gundam also gets a bunshin, God Shadow, making it extremely hard to kill. The only problem is that these extremely powerful attacks drain a lot of EN, so you'll need to max that out.

As a quick note, you still keep Shining Gundam in the hangar, and in Act 3, you can put Domon back in it. I don't know why you would, but that option is available.

Welcome to the end of Act 1. All that stands between us and space is the longest map in the game. Send the troops to the west, then loop back north into the facility proper. Make sure to take out every Einst you see along the way, as that's the victory condition. Also, leave some folks behind to protect the Gundor, and have Domon be part of the main assault group. The last thing you want is for an unmovable Gundor to get overrun by enemy reinforcements, causing a Game Over after over an hour of playtime. Even with my Hard Work And Guts, this stage took me about 2 and a half hours.

SKILL POINT: Beat the stage in 20 turns or less.

20 turns is an insanely long amount of time, but it's surprisingly easy to pass that limit if you're not prepared for what's ahead. Ignore the fact that I purposefully stalled for time at the end in order to avoid the Skill Point.

At the start, there are only basic Einst, but more enemies arrive during the third enemy phase.

Image
[Einst and Death Army soldiers spawn all over the map]
Image So, you've finally made it here, Gundor Team!
Image There you are! Master Asia, Undefeated of the East!
Image So Schwarz was right. You were in Jaburo.
Image Heh heh heh... It's where Kyoji wanted to be.
Image What?!
Image Behold, Domon! Your all-but-dead brother!

ImageImage
Image There it is! The Devil Gundam!
Image It's almost completely recovered!
Image THIS is the cost of the defeat you delivered to the Devil Gundam in the Guiana Highlands!
Image What cost?!
Image ...
Image Even the great Devil Gundam's bio-unit--its pilot--is as good as scrap now!
Image Its bio-unit?
Image The pilot gets infested with DG Cells and becomes the Devil Gundam's core.
Image Kyoji's will must be gone by now...
Image Nonetheless, Domon, you are to become the Devil Gundam's new pilot and fully revive it!
Image How terrible!
Image What the hell?!
Image I've been waiting for this moment! For the moment when I! The restored Devil Gundam! And YOU, Domon! All come together!
Image What?!
Image You've been using the Einst?!
Image That's right! Giving rise to a completed Devil Gundam is my wish!
Image I don't care how many times it comes back. I'll destroy the Devil Gundam! And I'm finishing my fight with you right here, Master Asia!
Image Bold words, Domon! Are you and your group even capable of defeating the restored Devil Gundam?!
Image Lieutenant!
Image All units, fan out and keep the Devil Gundam occupied!

Image
Our first boss of this stage is a newly healed Devil Gundam. It's pretty much the same as it was back in the Guiana Highlands, but it's also in a repair space. That space gives it increased HP/EN regen, and an increase in both defense and evasion.

Image
I also want to point out these guys, Death Masters. They're adorable, but can and will Darkness Finger you at melee range.

Now that you're probably inside the facility, I can point out some secrets.

SECRET ALERT
Container on map
If you have 16+ Skill Points, the container in the top corner of the map will have an RX-78-2 Gundam.
If you have 15- Skill Points, the container in the top corner of the map will have 20,000 money.

Secret Container
Near the Devil Gundam's spawn is a breakable wall. Destroy it to reveal a container with a GM Cannon II.

Image
Here's the location of that secret breakable wall. You know you have the right square when the cursor turns from purple to red.

Image
And here's where the top corner container is. Because of my Skill Points, I got the Gundam.

Even though we can pick up one or two Mobile Suits, they're not able to be used until Act 3, so their analysis will have to wait until then. I will say, however, that the money is more valuable than the Gundam. Also, unlike containers dropped by enemies, these ones won't be automatically picked up at the end of the stage, so make sure you get them if you want them.

Anyway, the plot advances at the start of the fifth enemy phase.

Image
Image Rgh... Their power really is--hm?!

Image
[Enemies spawn inside the facility]
Image More AI robots?!
Image Heh. I knew we were in for a bumpy ride, but man.
Image The Einst certainly love interfering where they're not wanted.
Image There are Kikaiju, Hyakki mecha...
Image And Yoma Empire combined models. How do they never get tired of this routine?
Image You can grouse later, Mister!
Image Tch, where's that jerk when you need him?!
Image ...
Image The Bloody I?! Where'd they even get it? That's strange. It shouldn't have made landing planetside.
Image If this Bunker org isn't helping the Einst, does that mean they stole the framework?
Image It's possible. But...
Image Let's show them that it's the pilots who breathe life into machines!
Image Hell, I'm down. Let's rock!
Image You simpletons! You have no idea what your immense power even signifies!
Image What does that mean?!
Image Even the successor of the King of Hearts fails to realize it? Have you learned NOTHING from me?!
Image What's he talking about?
Image Domon...
Image What I learned from the previous King of Hearts--from you, Master Asia--was harshness and kindness. And those lessons lead me to just one answer.
Image That answer is to defeat you, Master Asia!
Image You fool! You'll never defeat me as you are now! Give up and become the Devil Gundam's bio-unit!
Image No! That was well spoken, Domon!

Image
Image I won't let you take my brother!
Image Wait, what?!
Image Domon's brother?!
Image But then...
Image Is the one in the Devil Gundam...?
Image No! I know the one in the Devil Gundam was Kyoji, my brother!
Image Domon! You can't let the Devil Gundam fall into his hands. Destroy it now!
Image But who are you?! Are you really my brother?
Image Hmph! You're exactly who I thought you were, Schwarz.
Image Hm... This isn't good. All units, be on the lookout for the Master Gundam. Kasshu, focus on destroying the Devil Gundam for now!
Image If the Master Gundam shows up on top of everything else, we won't be able to protect the Gundor!
Image Right…

Image
Schwarz is here in his Gundam Spiegel, but he's waaaaay too far away from the facility to do anything up there. However…

SECRET ALERT
Schwarz Bruder
Never let Schwarz's HP drop below 50%

If you want to use him in Act 3, make sure that none of the enemy reinforcements down by the Gundor damage him much. You can even stow him inside the Gundor to be extra sure. This LP will proceed assuming you're keeping him alive.

The additional enemies are nothing more than a speed bump, meant to slow you down. Just run over them and keep fighting towards the Devil Gundam.

Image
It's worth noting that there's also a secret back entrance into the facility, hidden by a breakable wall. It may help getting to the Devil Gundam, but you still have to destroy all enemies. In actuality, this is a surprise tool that will help us later.

The plot advances once you destroy the Devil Gundam.

Image

Image
Image We still haven't beaten it?
Image Dammit! How're we supposed to trash this thing?!
Image Don't give up! There's still a way!
[Schwarz moves next to Devil Gundam]
Image Schwarz?!
Image What are you going to do?!
Image Domon! Shoot Kyoji!
Image ?!
Image Schwarz is at the Devil Gundam's cockpit!
Image What a reckless stunt!
Image As long as the bio-unit Kyoji remains intact, the Devil Gundam won't be destroyed. Aim for the cockpit!
Image But then you'll be...

Image
Image Don't interfere, Schwarz!
Image There it is! The Master Gundam!
Image What the hell is going on here?! Why are there two Kyojis?!
Image Domon... I'll tell you everything. I am Kyoji, and I'm not Kyoji. His body and heart have split into two. I am, in essence, his shadow.
Image His shadow?
Image That's right. After all, I'm merely a copy of Kyoji created using the power of DG Cells.
Image What the hell?!
Image DG Cells? They can do that?
Image It was all to eliminate the Devil Gundam.
Image But... I thought Kyoji was trying to use the Devil Gundam to rule the universe.
Image Wrong! The Devil Gundam was originally built to restore the Earth!
Image To restore it?!
Image Yes. Dad's Ultimate Gundam was built on three principles: self-regeneration, self-propagation, and self-evolution, all to restore Earth's natural environment. But there was someone who wanted its dangerous power for themselves.
Image You don't mean...?!
Image I boarded the Ultimate Gundam and fled to Earth with it, but its crash-landing caused its programming to go haywire. Then it transformed into that horrifying Devil Gundam.
Image So that whole story about you stealing the Devil Gundam...
Image That was a complete fabrication by Dr. Mikamura and Urube!
Image Urube?! So Neo Japan orchestrated this?
Image I had a feeling Father was hiding something, but this?!
Image Dr. Mikamura wanted the Ultimate Gundam's three principles for himself. Urube capitalized on that and enlisted his help, from what I understand.
Image But... How could they do such terrible things to Domon, and Kyoji, and the whole Kasshu family? I... I...
Image Rain...
Image This isn't on you, Rain. I'm sure your dad was just deceived by Urube, too.
Image What the hell... We've been chasing the Devil Gundam all this time without knowing any of that. Chasing my brother...
Image Domon... I'm so sorry.
Image Rain... But, Brother! Why didn't you tell me this from the start?!
Image Hmph. Considering how hotheaded you were before, you wouldn't have understood even if I'd tried.
Image Brother, I...
Image Besides, my priority was destroying the Devil Gundam. Plus, I was worried about you. Given what I know about you, it was obvious you'd do something reckless to try and destroy it. That's why Kyoji made me, even while possessed by the Devil Gundam--to protect you!
Image That takes commitment...
Image Brother... You're my brother!
Image Domon... It wasn't easy for me, either!
Image Bah! As far as I'm concerned, the process isn't an issue.
Image Huh?! Watch out!
Image DG Cells are attacking Schwarz?!
Image Oh no, it's going to assimilate me as well! Domon, fire! Shoot me and the Devil Gundam together!
Image Huh?!
Image Hurry! Blow the cockpit away with me in it!
Image But... I can't! I could never!
Image Stop whining! If you're the King of Hearts's successor, you should never be swayed by emotions and lose sight of your goal! Or do you want another repeat of what happened to Kyoji?!
Image ...
Image It's not fair. They finally resolved their misunderstandings...
Image Isn't there some other way?!
Image Do it! Free us from the Devil Gundam's curse!
Image Brother...
Image Domon! Don't let your brother's feelings be wasted!
Image Bro! Isn't there anything we can do here?!
Image Hell if I know... Dammit.
Image It sounds like this is the only way to save Kyoji...
Image Domon...
Image Domon!
Image Brother, I... I...
[Domon moves next to the Devil Gundam]
Image Don't do it, Domon! Would you kill your very own brother?!
Image Please, Domon. Deliver a finishing blow to the Devil Gundam!
Image All right…
Super Robot Wars Impact - My Mind is Clear and Serene ~ Though My Palm is a Raging Fire
Image Domon, no! Without the Devil Gundam, humanity's future will be...!
Image Brother!
Image NOOO!
Image Domon!
Image Dammit, there's nothing we can do here?!
Image ...

ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage
Image Brother...!
Image Thank you…
Image Domon.
[The Devil Gundam and Gundam Spiegel explode]
Image BROTHEEERRR!

Image
Super Robot Wars Impact - Flying Shadow Spotted!

Image
Image ...
Image Tobikage?!
Image What? Is it actually...?!
Image Urgh...
Image Brother?!
Image Huh? It actually grabbed him in that split second?!
Image Impossible! Getting the bio-unit out safely from that?! Damn you!
Image Looks like you don't get to have your way.
Image Brother?!
Image I'd have preferred to be gone without a trace, but... I suppose I shouldn't die until my job is done.
Image What's the Devil Gundam's status?!
Image There's... no readings, sir.
Image But Schwarz's body is...
Image My life was saved by my fellow ninja... Now it shall burn brightly!
Image ...
Image My... My Devil Gundam... You'll pay for this, Domon! Do you have any idea what you've done?!
Image Shut up, Master Asia!
Image What?!
Image You're a villain who's using the Devil Gundam to lay claim to the world!
Image You fool! When did I ever say I wanted that?!
Image Then why did you join forces with the Einst and help them engage in acts of destruction?
Image The Einst? That girl and those things just wanted to study the Devil Gundam. As long as I can revive the Devil Gundam, that's all I care about. We used each other, simple as that!
Image Then why do you need the Devil Gundam?!
Image Do you want to know? Then I'll teach you through a fight!

On the next player phase, Tobikage combined with Joe to form Jyuma. It's a valid strategy to not deploy a Ninja Robot in order to let Tobikage do his thing, but he spawns too far away from the battle to accomplish much. Plus, you don't want to accidentally forfeit boss EXP and money to him, right?

Image
The next boss of this chapter is Master Asia and his Master Gundam. He's still massively overleveling our entire group, so try not to get hit by him unguarded. He's also on another repair square, which, if you're smarter than me, you'll already have occupied so he isn't on it. Before you start beating up the Invincible Oriental, you should know the following.

SECRET ALERT
Master Asia #3
Reduce his HP below 50%.
Then have Domon fight him.
Then defeat him with anyone who isn't Domon.

Sounds easy enough, but the HP regen he has when on that repair panel isn't doing anyone any favors.

Before we get into that, enemy reinforcements spawn on the next enemy phase.

Image
Image Hrk!
Image What the?!
Image Lieutenant? Kamille? What's wrong?

ImageImage
Image ...
Image It's...
Image Ah... Aah...
Image Chum? Show, something's wrong with Chum!
Image What's wrong, Chum? Talk to me!
Image What's this feeling? It's more intense than anything I've felt before...
Image It's huge... What is this thing?
Image So what?! We've fought plenty of big guys before!
Image We won't lose!
Image Hey, this's bad. The Gundor's immobile, right?
Image The dragon still has a job to do. We can't lose it here!
Image Everyone, get back to the Gundor on the double!
Image Devil... Eaten... Body... Experiment...
Image What the... Again? What did it say?!
Image Uh, Kyosuke? Somethin' wrong?
Image What's your problem? Getting cold feet on us? I'm ready to stomp anything that comes my way!
Image Okay, we've got a bunch of people acting weird now. What the hell's the deal? This isn't the kinda thing you can back out of just 'cuz you get scared!
Image We've never seen this thing before. You could use a little caution, Koji.
Image The hell? Our morale's all over the place. What's everyone's problem with this thing?
Image I don't know. But someone got the same way the first time these things appeared.
Image It does have an intimidating presence. But the ones being affected are two exceptional Newtypes, Alice--a psychic, Asuka, Chum... and Nambu? Why?
Image What in the... Everyone, I'm picking up the same pattern from this Einst that DG Cells exhibit!
Image Sheesh. These guys'll use anything.
Image This must be the Einst's boss!
Image There's no turning back now. All units, attack!
Image Can this... be... a new...
