Hello there and welcome to a comparison LP over Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII for the PSP and Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII -Reunion- for the PC, PS5, XBox Series and Switch. My name is TheNomadicArc and I will be taking you on the this comparison journey between the two versions of this actually pretty spectacular game. As a prequel to Final Fantasy VII I think it holds up pretty well but I suppose you can judge that for yourself as we go through the story. As for which versions I will be playing the first one will, of course, be the original version released on the PSP. I will be playing it through PPSSPP upscaled to 1080p 30fps. For Reunion, I will be playing the Steam version running at 1440p 60fps. It has been a bit since I have touched the PSP original but I still know what I'm doing on it, but this also means that I don't remember much of the story. Apparently, Nomura-san has said that the story doesn't really change all that much between the two versions but I suppose we will find that out for ourselves as we go through the two versions. Episodes will go live every Monday and Thursday with there being two episodes per week with each episode being one chapter of the game. The only exception to this is the first week/episode that is going live today (Wednesday, April 12). This week's episode 1 will consist of the Prologue and Chapter 1. This is due to the prologue being less than 10 minutes long and thus wouldn't make for a good episode on its own. Starting with episode 2 next week episodes will go live on Monday and Thursday. Also included with each episode starting with episode 2 will be bonus episodes that will have us going through the Missions in the game. The Missions are separate from the story for the most part and thus these bonus episodes are skippable if you don't feel like watching them. Anyways, I hope you enjoy the ride as we take a look and see how the story before the story played out...
